In Coordination with the Missionaries: Spence Ingley, Elder Kinnet, E. Ampudia, E. Wright, E. Norman, E. Marcus, E. Hulse, E. Artiaga, Sister Green, Sister Prince, and Sister Maxfield.
Charity Anywhere Foundation in part with the humanitarian help of the Guayana Sector, Esmeraldas Province, seven (7) hours from the capital of the Republic of Ecuador.
The group consisted of Doctors, Nurses, Orthodontists, and Volunteers. Including: Mission Director- Dr. Washington Zambrano, Dental Coordinator- Doctor Ximena Tapia, Medical Coordinator- Dr. Alberto Vargas, and General Coordinator- Economist Maria Eugenia Guzman.

Medical attendance included 125 patients, encountering many cases of PARASITES, SKIN INFECTIONS, ANEMIC SYNDROME, BRONCITIS, DANDRUFF, CHRONIC LOWER BACK PAIN, ACID REFLUX SYNDROME, EPILEPSY, UPPER BODY RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS, and since it was an area where people live in poor, unsanitary conditions several cases of PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS were found.
Each patient recieved a medical perscription to be able to recieve medicine from the provided pharmacy; and 190 patients were given anti-parasite medicine.
In the Dental Clinic, 36 people were taken care of. Fifty four procedures were acomplished which included 35 Exctractions, and 20 Fillings. Additionatly 153 patients were given Fluoride treatments.
One hundred and sixty one hygene kits (161) were given to the locals. The population was also given donated clothing and Hair cuts. The total of hair cuts was 50 of them.
The Ophtalmologists (Eye Doctor) gave up 50 eye glasses and took care of several people. |

GALAPAGOS ISLANDS - ECUADOR, NOVEMBER 17 - 25, 2006 |

This expedition was done within the inhabitants of the town of Santa Rosa; which is located at the island of Santa Cruz. This last is located half hour away from the city of Puerto Ayora. Volunteers of the "ECUADORIAN TEAM" plus the group known as "PARTNERS OF AMERICA" were part of this mission. The Director of this mission was Dr. Washington Zambrano who also was joined by the President of Charity Anywhere, Mr Gordon Carte who came from the U.S.A.

Danute Grigaliunas, Carlos Tipanluisa and Xavier Fonte as Dental Lab. Technitians, RN. Heather Shepard, Miss. Claudia Pompa, Dr. Ana María Barrios. Dr. Thomas Varden, Miss Elizabeth Galarza, Mr. Paul Berg, Miss Elizabeth Stanton , Mr. Babbel Garth Roy, Mr. Timothy Betita and Mr. Matt Night.
As the Medical Coordinator we had Dr. Alberto Vargas. On this field, 438 patients were taken care of. A total of 450 people were given medicines from the pharmacy; since they all had a prescription. It´s important to say that the medicine given was only to treat those sicknesses found on the population such as: Intestine Parasitosis, High Blood Pressure, Low Back Ache, Gastritis, infection to the Urinary system, Anemia, Infection to the pharinx-traquea Rinitis, Artrosis (joint-desease), Vaginitis, Dispeptic Síndrom.
It was found that several children there in Santa Rosa suffered mostly of deseases such as intestinal Parasitosis, Alergic Rinitis, Bronchi Hiperactivity, Mal Nutrition, Nutritional Risk, Anemia, Non-specificVaginitis, Pharinxitis, Viral Stomach problems, Dermatitis of Contact. Etc. 181 Glucose-tests were done. 186 patients were given eye glasses thanks to the hard work of our Eyedoctor from Paraguay, Ana María.
As the Dental Coordinator we had Dr. Ximena Tapia. On this field, 253 patients were taken care of. A total of 470 dental procedures were given to the locals. To be more specific, 245 fillings, 120 Exodontial jobs and 105 Phophy-cleanings were done. Children that attend to the elementary schools of Santa Rosa and Bellavista were given 215 flouride treatments. 160 hygine kits plus 160 tooth brushes were donated too. Fourty Dental plates (protesis) were elaborated.
As the Surgury Coordinators we had Dr. Iván Ramírez and Dr. José Moya. We had patients for surgury when we found individuals with big dog-bite scarfaces, "asleep" lower lip, tumors at the thoracic vertebrate zone, Surgical Nevus Exerisis, Leg-tumor, Nose reconstraction job, right Shoulder-tumor with its biopsy, surgical face-extration of Xantomas, liberation of a retracted burned foot toward its zetaplasties.These patients who were given care on this field also were given 38 medical examinations; and 34 medical curations.
As far as constructions; we helped finish the frontal wall were the main access to the Santa Rosa collisum was. The school of "Caupolican Marín" there in Santa. Rosa; was helped by Charity Anywhere Foundation when its roof was changed. Also CAF donated shelfs to the same elementary school. |

Our latest mission was done at the city of Otavalo located at the province of Imbabura. It started December 26th and it went until December 30th . The director of this mission was Dr. Zambrano; Dental Coordinator: Dr Tapia; Medical Coordinator: Dr.Vargas and General Coordinators were: Engeneer Julio Zambrano; Economist María Guzmán; and Dr. Olga Farinango.

Carolina Santorum, Mis.Gloria Pilatasig, Sister Craxford, Sister Maxfield, Elder and Sister Richmond, Elder and Sister Leslie, Miss. Anita Zambrano, Miss. Nataly Mier, Mr. Nicolás Zambrano, Mr. Juan Zambrano.
A total of 448 patients were seen by our family physicians and all of these people also were given their medicines at the pharmacy. At this area was mostly found on adults illnesses such as lower back Aches, Bronchitis, Acid Reflex Sindrom, Overweight, Pharinxs irritation, Vertiginious Sindrom, Comun Cold, Otitis, Migrains, etc. On children was oftently found Intestinal Parasitosis, Skin Micosis, comun Cold, D.N.T. sindrom, Bronchitis, Conjuntivitis, Viral Hepatitis, I.R.A. sindrom, Piodermitis, etc.
A total of 242 patients were seen by our Dentists. It should be mention that 408 procedures were done on all of these people; including 99 Prophy-cleanings, 81 extractions, 228 fillings, 57 flouride treatments were given to children and 300 Personal Cleaning Kits were donated too. A total of 29 Dental Protesis were given up by our Dental Lab Technicians.
At the end we went back to Quito the morning of that Saturday, December 30th.
