This medical and dental expedition took place on three Ecuadorian cities where the Charity Anywhere Foundation keeps has a covenant of technical cooperation. The cities where the covenant of technical cooperation are Otavalo, Esmeraldas and Tena Each city had a city-medical center mainly furnished and equipped by donations shipped from CAF-Usa. The three clinics were created by to relief medical needs from poor families there. This expedition was leaded by Dr. Washington Zambrano. Our team also was pleased to count with the presence of Charity Anywhere Foundation’s President: L. Gordon Carter and his wife Susan. At the city of Otavalo, our local coordinator on Dr. Olga Farinango worked hard to make several events happen at the same time as we visited that city. Our doctors and dentists were scheduled to visit in the morning the community of Taminanga there in Otavalo. For the first time ever our team used the brand new Otavalo-Mobil Dental & Medical Clinic; which was a reason of great happiness and joy to President L. Gordon Carter and his wife Susan who helped a lot from USA for that to take place. These are the names of our volunteers and professionals to this expedition: american volunteers President: L. Gordon Carter and his wife Susan, Tamee and Jessica Fulghum; Dr Washington Zambrano DDS OS; the dentists Dr. Elena Gutierrez DDS, Dr. Marco Mantilla DDS, Dr. Ximena Tapia DDS, Dr. Maya Pedregal DDS, Dr Isabel Zambrano DDS OP, Dr. Cecilia Bayas DDS and Dr. Veronica Armijos DDS; the physicians: Dr Olga Farinango Gen. Practitioner/Indian Medicine, Dr Alvaro Cabezas Gen. Practitioner, Dr Fabian Lopez Gen. Practitioner, Dr. Jenny Naranjo Gen. Practitioner/ Dermatologist and Dr Ivan Ramirez Gen. Practitioner/Gen. Surgeon. Our Ecuadorian volunteers were: the drivers from Otavalo Mauricio Cruz and Jose Maria; the medical students Anita Zambrano and David Lucero; as well as the brothers Josue, Mathias and Juan F Zambrano (CAF Secretary). |

AREA: DENTISTRY
Unfortunately our team ran out of electricity in Taminanga; and our dentists could not do all the procedures they wanted to. What they could do was 40 sealants on children, another 20 received fluoride and 1 child had its tooth out. |
